Epic designs, prints and installs environmental graphics on 3M media: wall murals and printed wall coverings, 3M DI-NOC architectural finishes, window and floor graphics, wayfinding, complete branded environments — with the same certified crews that install our film. Printing is done in-house at VisuFlare, our sister large-format studio in McKinney, where Epic is a Platinum member — so design, proof, print and install are one vendor and one schedule.

Environmental graphics questions

What are environmental graphics?

Environmental graphics (also called environmental graphic design, or EGD) is the practice of applying graphics, wayfinding and brand to the built environment — walls, glass, floors, columns, doors and ceilings — so a space communicates. Architects and interior designers use the term; building owners usually just say wall graphics, window graphics or branded environments. It’s the same work, and Epic designs, prints and installs it on 3M media.

Is 3M DI-NOC part of environmental graphics?

Yes. Epic includes 3M DI-NOC architectural finishes and printed wall coverings in its environmental graphics work. DI-NOC refinishes the surface itself — walls, doors, columns, casework and elevator cabs — in wood, stone, metal or color; murals and graphics then put the brand on it. Do you design the graphics or just install them?

Both. Send us finished artwork from your agency or brand team and we’ll prepress, proof and install. Or give us a logo and a brief and Epic’s design team builds the environment with you — site survey, measured elevations, renderings, then production and install by Epic crews.

Where are the graphics printed?

At VisuFlare (visuflare.com), Epic’s sister large-format print studio next door to Epic headquarters in McKinney, Texas, where Epic is a Platinum member. Wall, window and floor graphics are printed on 3M media, proofed against your brand standards, and come to the job with the same crews that install Epic’s window film — one vendor from file to finished wall.

How long do wall and window graphics last?

Interior wall graphics on 3M media are rated for years of service and are removable without wall damage when it’s time to change. Exterior window graphics typically carry 3–5 year durability depending on exposure. Floor graphics are rated by traffic.

Can graphics go on textured or painted walls?

Yes — 3M has media for smooth drywall, lightly textured walls, block and brick. We test a sample on site before quoting.

Can you combine graphics with window film?

That’s the point of working with Epic: frosted privacy film with a logo cut in it, security film on the entry with a brand band above it, sun control on the glass behind a perforated graphic. One crew does the whole elevation.
