The DI-NOC visualizer

The entire 3M DI-NOC catalog, on your lobby.

Elevator lobbies, a reception desk and a cab, every surface its own decision. Pick a surface — elevator doors, the elevator wall, the desk front — then choose from all 916 DI-NOC patterns in 34 series: wood, metal, stone, solid color, textile, specialty. The actual 3M swatch is rendered in perspective and lit by the room’s own light. Search by pattern number; Quick Ship patterns are flagged.

Rendering…

This is a simulation. Patterns are the actual 3M DI-NOC swatches, rendered in perspective on the real surfaces in each photo and lit by the room’s own light. Screen color varies; Quick Ship marks patterns stocked for fast delivery, every other pattern ships from 3M. Epic brings the sample books and makes mockup panels on your actual wall before anything is ordered.

The finishes

Six families. More than nine hundred patterns.

We bring the books to the site; the right finish is chosen on your wall, under your light.

Wood grains

Oak, walnut, teak, ash and dozens more — rift, quarter and crown cuts, matte to gloss. The most-specified DI-NOC family for lobbies, elevator cabs and casework.

Stone & concrete

Marble, travertine, slate and raw concrete looks on walls and columns without the weight, the cost or the structural review.

Metals

Brushed, hairline and polished stainless, bronze, brass and anodized aluminum for elevator doors, columns, reveals and feature walls.

Leather, fabric & textile

Warm, tactile finishes for hospitality and corporate interiors that read as upholstery, not film.

Solid colors & abstracts

Clean solids, soft gradients and designer patterns for healthcare, education and branded environments.

Exterior-rated

Select DI-NOC series rated for exterior use: entrance canopies, column covers, storefront panels and signage fascias.

Where it goes

Any surface the building is tired of.

Healthcare

Patient rooms, corridors, nurse stations, elevator cabs and headwalls refreshed overnight — cleanable, Class A fire-rated, and done without taking beds out of service.

Hospitality

Guest rooms, corridors, ballroom doors and elevator interiors renewed between stays instead of between renovations.

Corporate & multi-tenant

Lobbies, elevator cabs, reception desks, columns and corridors brought up to the building’s next tenant, not its last one.

Education

Entries, libraries, admin offices and millwork refreshed over breaks, paired with Epic’s security film on the same visit.

Elevator cabs

The single most common DI-NOC application. Walls, doors, ceilings and reveals refinished in a day per cab with no cab out of service for weeks.

Retail & restaurants

Fixtures, counters, feature walls and storefront panels rebranded with no demolition and no closure.

How a DI-NOC project runs

Survey. Prep. Apply. Warrant.

01

Survey & sample

We walk the space, photograph every surface and bring the DI-NOC books. Mockup panels on request so the committee approves the finish on the real wall under the real light.

02

Substrate preparation

The step that separates a ten-year install from a one-year one: cleaning, filling, sanding and priming to 3M’s specification for each substrate — drywall, laminate, metal, painted MDF.

03

Application & heat-forming

Certified Installation Specialists apply, heat-form and post-heat the film around radii, reveals and returns so edges stay down and seams disappear.

04

Inspection & warranty

Opening-by-opening walkthrough, touch-up, and registration of the 3M warranty — 3M-trained and certified installation keeps it valid.

FAQ

3M DI-NOC questions

What exactly is 3M DI-NOC?
A self-adhesive architectural finish film, roughly 8 mil thick, that reproduces wood, stone, metal, leather, fabric, solid color and abstract patterns with realistic texture. It is applied over existing surfaces — walls, doors, columns, elevator cabs, casework, fixtures — so a space is refinished in days without demolition, dust or downtime. More than 900 patterns; Class A fire rated; backed by a 3M warranty when installed by 3M-trained, certified specialists.
How long does DI-NOC last?
3M warrants interior vertical applications for up to 12 years, and well-prepared installs routinely outlast that. Exterior-rated series carry shorter warranties that vary by exposure. Prep quality is the biggest variable, which is why certification matters.
Why does the installer need to be 3M-certified?
Because the film is only as good as the surface preparation, primer selection and heat-forming behind it, and because the 3M warranty is honored only on certified installations. Epic’s crews are 3M-trained and certified DI-NOC installation specialists (3M DI-NOC Architectural Finishes installer training) — in-house employees, not subcontractors — and the same people who install our security film to a written standard.
Is 3M DI-NOC fire rated?
Yes. 3M publishes Class A (ASTM E84) flame-spread and smoke-developed results for most DI-NOC patterns; the pattern-specific test report is included in Epic’s submittal so your fire marshal and elevator contractor have it before work starts.
Can it be cleaned and disinfected?
Yes. DI-NOC stands up to routine cleaning and most hospital-grade disinfectants, which is a large part of why healthcare specifies it for patient rooms and corridors. We provide 3M’s cleaning guidance with every project.
How does the cost compare to replacing the surface?
Typically a fraction of replacement once you count demolition, new material, trades, permits and lost use of the space. The honest comparison is per-day-of-disruption as much as per-square-foot: an elevator cab is back in service the same day; a patient room the same night.
Do you also install 3M Fasara and window film?
Yes — DI-NOC on the walls, Fasara frost on the glass, solar or security film on the windows, all in one scope with one crew. DI-NOC is part of Epic’s environmental graphics work; see also wall coverings & glass finishes.
