What is 3M window film?
3M window film is a family of thin, engineered films bonded to the glass you already have. Depending on the film, it rejects solar heat and glare, blocks up to 99% of UV, holds broken glass together, or adds privacy and design. Homeowners usually call it 3M window tint; on a building it is specified as architectural window film.
The film is half of the result. The other half is how it is cut, applied and, for security film, attached to the frame. That is the part Epic owns, and it is why the largest project in 3M’s history went to Epic: Cherry Creek School District.

Is it 3M window film or 3M window tint?
Both names describe the same products on a house or a building. “Tint” suggests darker glass, but most of the 3M films Epic installs do not darken the view: 3M Prestige rejects up to 97% of infrared heat and stays virtually clear. Darker and reflective films are there when daytime privacy or maximum heat rejection is the goal.
